Construction is underway for the new Special Care Unit at the Rose Blumkin Jewish Home. This unique unit will include 25 Resident bedrooms with bath, plus a sunroom, two TV lounges, spa, laundry, large dining room, private dining room, fully accessible kitchen, several activities areas and one public restroom. The SCU also includes a nurse’s station and consultation room as well as locked storage for medication, linen and mechanical purposes. The SCU provides an indoor walking loop and an exterior, secure private garden. The self-contained Unit is located on the West side of the Blumkin Home, and can be entered through the Home’s new Main Street.
 If your loved one has received a diagnosis of Alzheimer's or dementia-related illness, we’re able to provide physical care, a sense of safety and trust, and days filled with meaningful experiences. Our specially-trained staff will meet the individual interests of each Resident, offering activities and programs created specifically with your loved one’s needs in mind. The comfortable and homelike design of this self-contained unit allows the Residents freedom within the environment while adding an extra measure of staff supervision.
